
The 1572 Series (Two-Axis) and 1573 Series (Three-Axis) Position and Rate Tables, both with 20 arc sec position accuracy, are designed to test inertial navigation systems, AHRS, flight control systems, IMUs, platform stablization devices and other systems that do not require sub arc-second position accuracy.
The tables are rated to handle UUT payloads of up to 150 pounds (68 kg). Greater payloads are possible.
The 1572 and 1573 Series are available in 3 different range of motion configurations. The table can be configured with (1) Limited rotation of ± 540 deg for both axes, (2) Unlimited rotation for inner axis, ±540 deg for the outer axis, or (3) unlimited rotation for both axes. The limited rotation axes utilize a cable wrap design, which is an economic alternative to slip rings if unlimited rotation is not required. The standard cable wrap package provides 156 lines of electrical continuity to the tabletop. The standard slipring package sizes are 68 or 132 lines, larger custom sizes can be provided as well.
The rate tables can be delivered with an optional integral temperature chamber for UUT sensor calibration.
All 1572 and 1573 Series Test Tables are servo controlled systems that feature direct-drive brushless motors and precision optical encoders. Included with each system is the field-proven Ideal Aerosmith AERO 8X2 digital motion controller, which is delivered in a console that also houses the associated servo amplifier chassis.
These rate and positioning tables may be operated from the AERO 8x2 controller front panel touchscreen or remotely via GPIB or RS-232. Each table is designed for ease of operation and may be programmed using the Ideal Aerosmith Table Language (ATL) for remote operation. The position and rate are continuously displayed on the controller and may be queried by a remote computer at any time.
