Rear View Camera

The rear view camera assists the driver of a military vehicle to navigate safely while backing up. A reversed view is presented to the driver, just like a rearview mirror. Symbology superimposed on the video image illustrates the width of the vehicle,showing the driver how close an obstacle is and if it is in the path of the vehicle. The camera can also be used to complement or replace a periscope in areas where a traditional glass periscope is not practical or safe. The lens is protected by a door when the camera is not in use and can be configured to open by command or automatically when the vehicle is put in reverse. The door has enough power to break frozen or dried mud that might have been splashed on the enclosure while driving the vehicle.

ACCESSORIES
The MBC-series symbology generator and power supply provides power to the camera and adds a customer specific pattern to the video signal. The power supply accepts 28VDC vehicle power and is MILSTD-461C and MIL-STD-1275A compliant.
